Talent Development Assistant

Responsibilities

Assist the TD team across all aspects of attorney performance management and professional development
Prepare, analyze and distribute attorney productivity, evaluation, and performance-related reports
Coordinate evaluation cycles, including compiling feedback, tracking completion rates, and sending reminders
Manage administrative and logistical support for in-house training programs and meetings, including calendar scheduling, room reservations, technology setup, materials preparation, RSVP tracking, and follow-up
Update and maintain department reporting and files including exit interview data, practice specific attorney reports, demographic information, mentoring assignments, associate competency placement (Grids), new hire data, attorney leave information, and continuous updates in evaluation software (viDesktop / vi by Aderant)
Maintain and update Talent Development intranet page and policies to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Oversee and promptly respond to Talent Development inbox communications
Assist with national learning and development initiatives, including planning and delivery of training curriculum for senior and summer fellowship
Process team expense reports, check requests and invoices for payment
Act as a steward of the Firm’s culture and values to promote and build a culture of collaboration, teamwork and high performance
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Ability to establish positive relationships and keep a wide number of people 'in the loop' and informed of project and program status is critical
Proficiency with relevant computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, including strong proofreading skills and a high standard for quality work
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
Effective time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong planning, organization and follow up skills. Must be able to organize and follow up on all details necessary for a program/event/workshop
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices
Perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred

Prior experience in a human resources, talent/professional development or learning environment preferred
Experience working in a law firm is a plus
Working knowledge of viDesktop / vi by Aderant and Workday is a plus
