Responsibilities

Cleans, sanitizes, maintains, and operates laboratory equipment

Keeps records of research data and assists in analyzing it

Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion

Proofreads and assists in the writing of manuscripts, grant proposals, and lab protocols

Prepares reports of experiment results

Performs research by completing simple experiments or steps in more complicated studies

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required

Strong attention to detail and interest in laboratory research

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications

Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred

Scored a 4 or 5 in AP Calculus and AP Physics or AP Chemistry
