Account Executive

Genesee Scientific is a trusted supplier to life science labs across the U.S. and is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive growth in their territory. The role involves identifying and securing new customer accounts, managing the full sales cycle, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the life sciences sector.

Responsibilities

Own and grow your territory by driving the full sales process from Discovery to Closed Won. You will be supported by Sales Development Reps (SDR’s) to help you grow our customer base
Create a territory strategy including prioritizing accounts and create an execution plan
Engage with decision-makers, i.e. business and laboratory operational leaders
Leverage sales development to support your territory plan and set up qualified calls
Conduct discovery calls, deliver quotes, negotiate pricing, and close business profitably
Educate buyers on our products, our portal, and our ordering processes
Conduct virtual meetings to assess client needs and showcase Genesee products
Use Salesforce to manage pipeline and track activity
Meet/exceed territory goals based on margin, quota attainment, and revenue growth

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, science or equivalent experience
3+ plus years of full cycle B2B sales experience; experience in life sciences, medical or biotech sales
Demonstrated success in driving engagement with prospects virtually, leveraging CRM and other modern tools to advance prospects along the qualification journey
Demonstrated success at hunting for new business and owning the sales process
Skilled at managing procurement processes and negotiating with price-savvy buyers
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues to identify customer needs
Results orientated, strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and effectively manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Lab experience a plus
