Systems Test Engineer II (ONSITE)

Responsibilities
Serve as technical contributor on a small to medium software development program
Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (V&V), formal testing, and software installation
Work with department systems engineering subject matter experts to solve critical technical problems with innovative solutions
Qualification
Required
Experience as a systems or test engineer on a software development program
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with any of these systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link (J series messages), Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control Systems, or Shipboard Combat Systems such as Aegis and SSDS Mk II
Experience with Systems of Systems Software Integration and Test across multiple operating environments such as Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and Containers
Experience with software development in Java and C++ and scripting in Linux shells, PowerShell, and Python
Experience with software engineering tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and Jenkins
Experience with on-site customer software installation and systems integration along with leading formal software qualification tests and demonstrations
Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Understanding requirements development and experience using requirements management tools, such as DOORS
Understanding of designing system architectures and experience using architecture development tools, such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or Rational Suite
Understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE)
