Communications & Advocacy Intern
AARP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people aged 50 and above. They are seeking a Communications & Advocacy Intern to assist in developing communication strategies and advocacy campaigns, conduct research, and manage social media communications.

Responsibilities
Assisting in developing and executing communication strategies
Conducting research
Drafting content for different audiences
Managing social media communications
Supporting community engagement activities
Tracking and analyzing campaign metrics to measure success
Qualification
Required
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in Writing, Editing, and Proofreading content tailored for diverse audiences
Knowledge of Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, and creating engaging communication materials for multiple platforms
Ability to conduct Research and evaluate information to support advocacy and outreach efforts
Strong organizational and Time Management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for AARP's mission of serving individuals aged 50-plus and their families
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred
Familiarity with digital tools used in communications and advocacy
