Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Analyze workflows, conduct time studies, and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles (like Kaizen, 5S) to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on production data, downtime, and performance metrics to identify root causes and areas for improvement
Project Support: Assist experienced engineers on projects involving installation of new equipment, machine upgrades, process validation, and new product launches
Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve issues with production equipment and manufacturing processes on the shop floor
Documentation: Create and update process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control records
Work with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, R&D) to implement solutions and share knowledge
Hands-On Tasks: May involve basic equipment inspection, assisting with tool/fixture design using CAD, and supporting preventive maintenance
Qualification
Required
Pursuing program in mechanical or industrial engineering, or related discipline
Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and GD&T principles
Familiarity with manufacturing methods
Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Motivated by continuous improvement and operational excellence
