Assistant State Chief Information Officer (Enterprise Technology Advisor 2)
The State of Oregon is seeking an Assistant State Chief Information Officer (Enterprise Technology Advisor 2) to lead the enterprise-wide modernization and overall IT strategy. The role involves serving as a senior-level IT strategist and advisor, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance business and technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
Serve as a senior-level IT strategist, director and advisor on emerging technologies, methodologies, and overall IT best practices
Work with the Governor’s office, the Legislature, agencies, and the public to align business and technology initiatives and partner with other public and private sector interested parties
Qualification
Required
Eight years of executive-level policy development and senior technology leadership experience directly related to the position being recruited; OR
Equivalent education and experience
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field may substitute for 3 years of experience
A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field may substitute for 4 years of experience
Preferred
Demonstrated experience working with executives and a strong business acumen
Constructing and communicating formal strategies leading changes through formal practices
Experience with complex and sensitive issues and situations, identifying alternative solutions
Ability to collaborate across organizations to streamline systems and services
Extensive knowledge of IT policies and practices, specifically as it relates to IT governance
Highly effective at managing situations and tailoring approach to individual's and group needs
Requires demonstrated extensive experience in contracting policies and procedures, strategic planning, Capability Maturity Model, PMI/PMBOK methodologies, change control management within an enterprise information technology environment
Excellent leadership capabilities, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with and influence clients, team members, management, and external groups to establish goals, objectives, and action plans
