Marketing Director - Art & Culture Think Tank (Non-Profit)

Responsibilities
Develop and execute mid-to-long-term public welfare communication strategies and annual marketing roadmaps, aligned with non-profit goals and global art trends
Lead end-to-end marketing for large-scale international projects (art exhibitions, cross-cultural summits): plan pre-event teasers, in-event engagement, and post-event digital archive promotion to maximize reach
Manage U.S. (Instagram/YouTube/Facebook) and Chinese (WeChat/Xiaohongshu) digital channels—curate audience-centric content (art interpretations, digital archive showcases, artist stories) to boost engagement and brand affinity
Innovate digital formats (short videos, live streams, virtual exhibitions) to connect global audiences and streamline cross-cultural content dissemination
Oversee artist resource activation: design public welfare interview series, unearth cultural narratives, and produce high-quality bilingual content (text/video/audio) for multi-channel use
Lead offline exhibition digitization: manage artwork digitization, organization, and presentation to create scalable digital archives that expand global access
Build and lead a marketing team: define roles, set performance metrics, and cultivate expertise in cross-cultural communication, digital operations, and art content creation
Collaborate with internal (exhibitions, academic research) and external (partners, media, KOLs) stakeholders to align strategies, expand channels, and drive project success
Track data (channel performance, campaign ROI, digital archive engagement) to refine strategies and optimize resource allocation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Arts Management, or Non-Profit Management (preferred)
7+ years of marketing/communications experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles within the art sector (art museums, cultural non-profits, think tanks)
Proven track record of leading full-cycle marketing for international art non-profit projects and driving digital communication success
Deep cross-cultural expertise: ability to translate art into resonant content for Western and Chinese audiences
Proficiency in Instagram/YouTube/Facebook and WeChat/Xiaohongshu operations—demonstrated success in fan growth and interactive conversion
Familiarity with artwork digitization processes and offline-to-digital exhibition transformation
Excellent bilingual (English/Chinese) communication and content creation skills (mandatory)
Strong leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, and resource integration abilities—thrives in fast-paced, international non-profit environments
Commitment to public welfare
Preferred
Experience in New York's art and non-profit community, with established U.S. art sector connections
Track record of measurable success in cross-channel marketing for large-scale international art exhibitions and digital archives
Expertise in art digitization, virtual exhibitions, or non-profit fundraising communication
