Loan Documentation Specialist II
CommerceWest Bank is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist II to process and document all new, renewals, modifications, and extensions of loans. This role requires expertise in legal entity documentation and involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in loan documentation.

Responsibilities
Responsible for determining the documents required to prepare loan documents, such as preliminary title reports, appraisal reports, entity structure and collateral items outstanding
Prepare needs list for officer, follow up on any items pending to prepare loan documents. Order and review preliminary title reports, property profiles, appraisal reports, UCC searches, flood determinations, credit reports and any additional reports required
Works closely with Credit Division and Portfolio Managers to ensure all documents obtained satisfy approval conditions
Ability to review and determine the entity structure for Corporations, Limited Liability Company, Limited Partnerships, General Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships, Fictitious Business Names, etc. This includes business doing business within and outside of California
Scan and call back all documents received into Synergy User Client system and Loan Files folder
Responsible for reviewing Evidence of Insurance certificates received to determine if lender is listed correctly and verify that insurance coverage is sufficient
Request and verify documents provided for Key Person Life Insurance policies
Prepare loan documentation for new loans, renewals, extensions and modifications. Ability to document Commercial Term Loans, Commercial Revolving Line of Credit, Commercial Real Estate Loans, SBA 7A and SBA express loans
Coordinates with Title company regarding the recording of Recordables and prompt closing of Real Estate transactions; reviews Title Insurance Policy for correctness and appropriate endorsements once received
Reviews signed loan documents for completeness prior to funding and/or boarding of loan
Files and perfects UCC and possessory collateral
Verifies that all requirements of the credit memorandum and CommerceWest Bank credit policy have been met
Processes and audits loan files for completeness to minimize the risk of loan losses
Within the specified area of responsibility, is personally accountable to understand and ensure regulatory and policy compliance with state and federal requirements including the following: Community Reinvestment Act (RA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Truth-In-Lending Act and Regulation Z, Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Control Travel Rule, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Regulation O/Loans to insiders, Right to Financial Privacy, Gramm-Leach-Bililey Act of 1999, Sarbanes Oxley
Performs all other duties and special projects as needed and assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-7 years in note department or loan administration banking experience
Expert Documentation experience is a requirement
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate strong organizational skills to perform a variety of duties efficiently and prioritize daily tasks to effectively manage time
Team player, self-starter, ability to be flexible, manage multiple tasks, attention to detail and meet deadlines a must
Present professional image and work well in a team environment
The ability to cross sell bank's products and services to existing clients as well as prospects, growing new profitable relationships by referring opportunities to other parts of the company

Notary Public preferred
Working knowledge of the Jack Henry System a plus
