Field Reliability Engineering Technician, High Voltage Battery

The role involves hands-on work in failure analysis, collaborating with engineers to improve product reliability through technical tasks and analytical work.

Responsibilities
Coordinate incoming hardware sent back for failure analysis
Perform sample preparation and inspection on a variety of electrical and electromechanical systems
Triage hardware for issues as requested by engineers
Support root cause analysis from issue identification to countermeasure implementation
Execute experiments to test theories about failure cause
Use analytical tools and techniques including cross-sectioning, electrical debug, X-Ray, microscopes, and others
Qualification
Required
1+ Year of industry experience or equivalent in an analytical lab or similar manufacturing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent fine motor skills, including soldering and probing PCBAs
Strong demonstrable experience with electrical test equipment: Power Supplies, Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, and other common equipment
Fine electronics probing and solder skills necessary
Proficient at reading schematics and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits is a strong plus
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
