Social Impact Project Manager
McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. The Social Impact Project Manager will support the execution of the employee volunteer program, focusing on event planning, project coordination, and community partnerships to drive McKinstry’s social and environmental responsibility efforts.

Responsibilities
Lead logistics for Building Good events, including scheduling, community partner coordination, catering, signage, photography, and volunteer management. Ensure seamless execution of events that engage employees and external partners
Work with internal teams to proactively and passionately drive engagement and excitement for Building Good. Respond to requests for support promptly. Support communication and coordination with regional Building Good leaders and teams, as assigned
Monitor progress toward goals, collect KPI data, and prepare status updates when required. Track quality metrics and document lessons learned for continuous improvement
Draft meeting notes, produce high-quality communications, coordinate project registration, and ensure accurate documentation of all activities. Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize written materials. Prepare polished presentations, timelines, collateral, reports, and other deliverables
Provide high-quality support to employees and community stakeholders and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ensure all deliverables, communications, and event plans adhere to program standards. Incorporate feedback promptly and maintain version control of updated materials
Identify potential community partners aligned with Building Good’s goals. Coordinate initial outreach and logistics for partnership meetings with guidance. Support ongoing partnership activities, track outcomes, and escalate challenges as needed
Support the coordination of activities connected to larger enterprise campaigns as well as local team coordination and support
Attend external events as assigned (including after-hour events) that align with department and program goals and advance McKinstry’s external reputation
Work on special projects and initiatives, as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated passion for and support of diversity/equity/inclusion, sustainability, and community service required
Post-secondary credential or equivalent work experience required
3+ years of professional experience in a corporate social responsibility/ESG, project manager, or program manager role required
Highly proficient with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint, and Power BI required
Experience effectively executing plans, and managing projects required
Comfortable working in ambiguous and/or time-sensitive situations required
Ability to handle multiple tasks of high priority and meet deadlines in professional, confidential, and efficient manner required
Demonstrated relationship-building and informal leadership skills required; ability to inspire, motivate, and empower required
Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems required
A willingness to learn, engage in personal self-growth, and work above and beyond required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent time management and organizational skills required
Excellent writing and presentation development skills required
Excellent sense of self-direction and self-motivation required
