Responsibilities

Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports

Maintain company servers, UPSs, VMWare environment and other systems

Configure Infrastructure systems to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes

Monitor server performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed

Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term infrastructure capacity needs

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems, processes, and inventory

Assist, when necessary, with installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices

Manage servers, including Active Directory, cloud, e-mail, print, application and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software

Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration, usage, and disaster recovery

Maintain current knowledge of infrastructure products, services, and best practices to remain abreast of developments in systems technology

Perform server asset management, including maintenance of infrastructure component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information

Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades

Participate in managing all infrastructure security solutions

Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery

Provide guidance to junior members of the team

This role has the responsibility to understand and place in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws

Required

Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products

Strong, hands-on technical knowledge of operating systems, including Microsoft and VMWare ESXi

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards

Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience

Extensive application support experience with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting and group policy

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment

Strong customer service orientation

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Preferred

3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred

BA/BS or equivalent is preferred
