Administrative Project Specialist - KSAS (Dean's Office - Strategic Initiatives)

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking an Administrative Project Specialist to support the Krieger School for Arts and Sciences in coordinating faculty searches and enhancing the experience for potential hires. This role involves providing administrative support, developing processes, and fostering relationships across the institution.

Responsibilities

Perform varied and multiple administrative support functions for recurring and ad hoc projects and/or specialized operations
Develop administrative processes and workflows
Assist in planning and development
Provide reports and summaries as requested
Resolve administrative issues and problems
Assist with business and financial processing, e.g. budget reconciliation, expense reimbursements, payment of invoices, etc
Foster institutional relationships. Collaborate and liaise with individuals across the institution
Other duties as assigned
Work closely with departments to consider the many facets of faculty recruitment
Draft, edit, and manage distribution of candidate itineraries for campus visits
Curate an experience for faculty candidates that that promotes a warm and welcoming environment
Develop mechanisms to collect feedback on the candidate experience to improve hiring success
Supports the orientation of new faculty

Required

High school diploma or graduation equivalent
Five years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative support
Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Background in higher education with a strong understanding of institutional processes and policies
Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, creating a positive and professional experience for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and external partners
