BAE Systems is seeking an Information Technology Project Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will oversee and manage technical projects, serving as a liaison between project management and resource management teams, while also assisting in the onboarding of new personnel and ensuring effective IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the technical project(s) and serves as a liaison between the project management team and the resource management team

Aid new personnel through the necessary onboarding requirements as they transition-in

Assist the Transition-In Manager in all tasks but focus on integrating the new personnel into daily task operations and access

Prepare project execution plans and identify technical, and business resources needed

Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports

Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

Plan, integrate, manage, and track end-to-end IT service delivery

Develop and execute the Team BAE Systems service strategy tasks which include managing and maintaining assets required for IT service delivery

Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team

Maintain operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers

Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space

Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery

Develop and monitor policies and standards related to the use of computing resources

Required

Minimum of six (6) years of document management and configuration control in support of IT and communications to include governance and policy and process development and implementation with a Bachelor's degree

DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) Intermediate (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) qualification (e.g. Security+ CA) within 6 months of starting position
