Responsibilities

Inspect raw material; plating; work in process including cut lengths, facing, threading, and stamps; finished goods; and purchased material to determine if the product meets the established standards

Document all inspections and must maintain accurate records

Fill out all necessary reports including Customer Complaint or Return (CCR), Corrective Action Report (CAR), Internal Corrective Action Report (ICAR), inspection, daily inspection, plating, raw material, and defective material

Required

Ability to read and calibrate various gages

Ability to understand quality specifications and detect defects in a product

Ability to make decisions using independent judgment regarding the acceptability of raw material and finished goods
