Responsibilities

Complete regular repair and preventative maintenance duties on structures, systems, and equipment
Groundskeeping
Support work for overall site operation
Ensure that the site is clean, presentable, and ready to be enjoyed by guests
Support site operations by ensuring building systems and equipment are functioning properly
Assist with set-up and tear-down for special programs and events
Respond to after-hours alarms
Assist with the preservation of historic buildings
Learn or expand knowledge of fire and security systems and their monitoring

Required

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
2 years or more experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment, hand tools, and power tools
2 years or more experience in the operation and maintenance of vehicles including trucks, utility vehicles, lawn mowers, and snow removal equipment
2 years or more experience completing routine building repairs involving but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
2 years or more experience performing grounds keeping work and snow removal
2 years or more experience identifying maintenance issues and solving problems
2 years or more experience performing skilled and heavy manual labor indoors and outdoors
2 years or more experience communicating effectively verbally, electronically, and in writing
Ability to perform essential job functions

Preferred

Four or more years of experience in each of the following areas: Carpentry, construction, and metalworking projects using hand and power tools
Routine electrical maintenance and repairs
Routine plumbing maintenance and repairs
Experience operating a multifaceted HVAC and Fire and Security system that utilizes automated building control systems, boiler heating system, the air handling system, the air conditioning and the fire suppression sprinkler system
Experience working with blueprints
Experience working with contractors, other staff, and volunteers
