Responsibilities

Design with Purpose: Develop compelling interior design concepts that merge function, aesthetics, and sustainability
Lead & Innovate: Spearhead technical design solutions for major projects, applying cutting-edge methods and materials
Bring Designs to Life: Independently produce high-quality plans, specifications, and oversee material selection
Collaborate & Inspire: Work alongside clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless project execution
Guide the Next Generation: Mentor junior designers and interns, fostering innovation and design excellence
See It Through: Engage in construction administration—site visits, RFIs, submittals, and punch lists—bringing designs from concept to reality
Regularly perform work requiring independent judgment and discretion on design and presentation drafting for interior design project including planning, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development tasks
Apply established interior design standards
Research interior products and select colors/finishes/materials and document selections
Assists in maintaining resource library
Preform site survey and documentation
Complete routine checking and/or verification tasks
Proficient in computer/aided drawing, presentation tools and basic Revit software
Incorporate purposeful design to reflect the underlying 'story' of the project, including consistent design flow throughout the whole building project, not just the major areas

Required

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) proficiency required
Strong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building/engineering systems, and agency requirements (NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC etc)
Ability to generate and articulate impactful design ideas
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Organized and efficient with a focus on quality, timelines, and collaboration
Passion for providing exceptional client service
Collaborative and professional work ethic
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field
Minimum of six years of experience in A/E/C industry or related market sector
Occasional project-related travel required

Preferred

SketchUp or Rhino preferred
Lumion, Enscape, and V-Ray are a plus
NCIDQ experience preferred
