Human Resource Operations Manager
Engineering Economics, Inc. (EEI) is a nationally recognized, employee-owned consulting firm specializing in building commissioning and performance. The Human Resource Operations Manager plays a critical role in building and sustaining the operational backbone of EEI’s HR function, ensuring payroll, HR systems, workforce data, compensation, and benefits operations run accurately, compliantly, and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Lead daily HR operations and ensure compliance across multiple states
Own end-to-end payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
Manage HR systems (HRIS), data integrity, and reporting
Oversee benefits setup, enrollments, and reconciliations
Support compensation processes, merit cycles, and workforce reporting
Maintain HR policies, documentation, and audit readiness
Lead and develop the HR Operations team
Partner closely with Finance, IT, and the broader HR team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience)
6+ years of HR operations experience, including payroll and HRIS ownership
2+ years of people leadership experience
Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and compliance
High attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred
HR certifications (SHRM, PHR, etc.)
