Modernization & Development – Build new .NET Core applications while keeping critical legacy systems operational during transition periods
Process Improvement – Identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement better ways to get things done
Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with our business users to ensure applications meet their needs

Required

One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of the experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer system user support specialty
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience
An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience
Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty
Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language. One year of this experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty
Strong understanding of relational databases and experience optimizing queries
Understands secure coding practices, data protection, and keeping our systems (and wildlife data) safe
Not afraid of older systems (Web Forms, WCF, ColdFusion, or whatever else might lurk in the codebase)
If 'it has always been that way' doesn't sit right with you, we want you on our team
Ability to explain technical things to non-technical users and vice versa

Preferred

.NET experience (ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, Entity Framework) preferred. Equivalent experience in another tech stack with a willingness to learn .NET will also be considered
