Responsibilities

Contribute directly to the success and growth of the company
Performs, reports, and participates in all sales efforts to achieve goals within the established timeframe and revenue targets
Build strong, strategic relationships with current and prospective client key decision makers within target markets in alignment with the company’s ideal customer profile (ICP)
Perform discovery sessions to understand regulatory processes, compliance requirements, and operational challenges
Translate the agency’s business and/or regulatory requirements, needs, and challenges into compelling software or system solutions, presentations, and proposals delivered in collaboration with sales team members
Act as a subject-matter liaison between agencies and internal teams as needed
Utilizes the Company’s customer relationship management system for all activities
Engaging with new sales opportunities to expand the firm’s product sales within defined markets
Building and nurturing positive relationships with key stakeholders within assigned government agency clients
Participation in meetings with prospective and current customers to identify / qualify new sales opportunities and document information uncovered during interactions
Following the established sales process, including targeting potential customers and key decision makers, conducting discovery sessions, participating in solution demonstrations, proposal development and delivery, contract closure activities, and performing handoffs to the Service Delivery team
Creating engaging and personalized email communications
Supporting marketing efforts by assisting in online and other marketing campaigns
Participates in sales events, attends industry conferences, and executes marketing initiatives to generate additional leads and prospects
Being prepared for and contributing to sales team, executive, and strategic meetings to report sales progress and client engagement status on a regular basis
Managing information, activity documentation, data integrity, and forecasting in the firm’s CRM
Performs daily activities; responds to all requests and concerns, phone, electronically, or in person, in a timely fashion

Required

5+ years of experience working with government regulatory agencies, public-sector consulting, or regulatory technology
Strong understanding of government regulatory processes and compliance environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in improving business relationships and successfully developing new business opportunities
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, develop recommendations, and execute action plans
The ability to balance competing priorities and keep multiple stakeholders informed on progress
Naturally think on your feet in a conversation and can answer unexpected questions with ease
Be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Internal motivation and tenacity are among your strongest traits
You have a strong passion for sales and sales processes
Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities
Confident using CRM programs, LinkedIn, web, and other tools to research, plan, execute, and track activities to report progress towards goals
Knowledge of sales principles and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to be a goal-driven team player
Proven ability to achieve sales targets
Ability to plan, strategize, persuade others, and adapt to new situations
Ability to be resilient, tenacious, and a self-starter
Ability to tolerate high stress
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Ability to travel as needed or required

Preferred

Experience implementing or supporting SaaS solutions in government environments
Familiarity with regulatory domains such as licensing, enforcement, inspections, compliance, or reporting in government agencies, state licensing boards, and commissions
Proven record of excelling in a similar role
Knowledge of government procurement, security, and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC, CJIS, or state equivalents)
Thoroughly understand the challenges an organization faces within our core markets
Understand the B2G sales development process
