Responsibilities
Perform various engineering duties in the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of flood control projects
Serve as a project engineer and ensure contractors and DEP inspectors complete work in accordance with established agreements
Supervise wage and salaried Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors depending on the size of the construction project
Work is assigned by a Construction Inspector Manager who reviews inspection activities
Engineering activities are supervised by Civil Engineer Manager, who acts as the responsible charge
If filled as a Civil Engineer Trainee, participate in a one-year formal and on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer Supervisor
Perform duties either with the Construction Inspector Manager or Civil Engineer Manager
Work products produced are reviewed by the supervisor before being issued or released
Qualification
Required
Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
