This role offers an excellent opportunity to start a career in the rapidly growing data center industry, where technicians will be responsible for installing and maintaining cabling systems.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards
Assist with RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations under guidance
Perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks
Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke or EXFO under supervision
Learn fiber cable handling and dressing
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow safety protocols
Take direction from experienced technicians and supervisors
Qualification
Required
Prior labor experience (construction, warehouse, or similar) with good tenure
Strong attendance and positive attitude
Ability to pass BGC and drug screen
Comfortable working overtime and Saturdays
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 20 feet
Preferred
Experience with structured cabling or telecommunications
Familiarity with cable installation and termination
