Responsibilities
Assist the higher-level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure to include: pulling cable, pulling fiber, learning color codes, learning how to punch down and terminate fiber, installing cable trays and pathways, and build server racks
Start our installing cable tray's and building the server racks
Qualification
Required
Entry-level cable technicians
Willing to relocate to Altoona, Iowa for a 6-month assignment
Willing to move to Lebanon, IN site after 6 months
Assist higher-level techs and team leads in building out infrastructure
Pulling cable
Pulling fiber
Learning color codes
Learning how to punch down and terminate fiber
Installing cable trays and pathways
Building server racks
Punctual and team player
Able to be flexible on hours
Ability to work 10-12 hour days if needed
Ability to work 6 days a week
Experience with Cat6, Cat5, cabling, cable installation, punchdown, cable pulling, structured cabling, military communications, data center, fiber optic cable
Considered a Level 1 technician at $20-$23/hr unless having 2+ years of previous experience working with Fiber in a data center, then considered for $24-27/hr
