DevOps Engineer

They are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure integrations between external data sources and internal tools, ensuring reliable data ingestion and system stability in a fully remote AWS environment.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain API-based integrations between external data providers and internal applications using Python and RESTful services
Develop and support automated data ingestion pipelines that securely process, normalize, and store external data for internal intelligence workflows
Implement and maintain cloud-native integration services within AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and security components
Manage API authentication, secrets, and credentials using secure AWS services and best practices
Build monitoring, logging, and alerting for integration pipelines to ensure reliability, performance, and auditability
Troubleshoot and resolve API failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues
Collaborate with intelligence, product, and operations teams to translate data requirements into technical integration solutions
Support CI/CD workflows for integration services and internal tools
Ensure all systems comply with internal security policies and federal standards for handling sensitive PII
Maintain technical documentation for integration architectures, workflows, and operational procedures
Operate fully remotely while maintaining availability during core business hours (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Eastern)
Qualification
Required
Prior experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar role supporting production systems
Strong proficiency in Python for automation, API integration, and data processing
Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway)
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and automated integration pipelines
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to successfully undergo and maintain a federal Public Trust background investigation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
Experience integrating third-party or proprietary data providers into internal platforms
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation)
Understanding of secure data handling, access controls, and audit logging in AWS environments
Experience supporting analytics, intelligence, or data-intensive applications
Prior experience in federal or government contracting environments
