This role offers hands-on experience in various civil engineering disciplines through a comprehensive 12-month training program, contributing to critical transportation projects.

Responsibilities
Assist with field data collection, traffic studies, and construction inspections
Contribute to preliminary engineering studies, draft reports, and prepare design elements for highway and bridge projects
Develop proficiency in using industry-standard software and tools for civil engineering applications
Experience diverse work environments across Design, Construction, and Maintenance divisions, including the Central Office in Harrisburg
Qualification
Required
One year of civil engineering experience and a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field that includes or is supplemented by major coursework in civil engineering
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within nine months of graduating with a qualifying degree
This position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension
You must be able to perform essential job functions
