Responsibilities
Conduct experiments utilizing furnaces, metal processing equipment, machining equipment, gloveboxes, and wet chemical processes
Execute test plans, make detailed observations, and communicate observations to leaders and teammates
Install, commission, and operate equipment safely and properly
Develop documentation for experimental procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
Maintain safe work practices
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Applied Science or related field, OR 3+ years of related experience. Entry level/Technical role: Advanced academic degrees are not required for consideration
Experience operating laboratory and/or manufacturing equipment
Familiarity with computers and data entry and analysis
Preferred
Experience working with metals, powders, chemicals, gloveboxes, furnaces, and/or machining equipment
Knowledge of basic metallurgy, machining, and/or chemical processes and equipment
Strong technical and communication skills to coordinate working with a variety of teammates, execute technical trials, and document processes and results
Hands-on, detail-oriented person who can solve problems, exercise sound judgement, and act autonomously in his/her daily work
