Civil Engineer Supervisor
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking candidates for the position of Civil Engineer Supervisor within the Department of Environmental Protection. This role involves overseeing engineering duties related to the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of flood control projects, while supervising Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors to ensure compliance with established agreements.

Responsibilities
Perform various engineering duties in the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of flood control projects
Serve as a project engineer and ensure contractors and DEP inspectors complete work in accordance with established agreements
Supervise wage and salaried Environmental Projects Construction Inspectors depending on the size of the construction project
Work is assigned by a Construction Inspector Manager who reviews inspection activities, and engineering activities are supervised by Civil Engineer Manager
Participate in a one-year formal and on-the-job training program to learn the duties of a Civil Engineer Supervisor if filled as a Civil Engineer Trainee
Perform duties either with the Construction Inspector Manager or Civil Engineer Manager
Review work products produced, i.e. plans, reports, letters, etc. before being issued or released
Qualification
Required
Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
