Responsibilities
Leading stormwater projects and overseeing Best Management Practices (BMP) repairs to keep our community safe and sustainable
Contributing to stormwater planning efforts within the Water Programs Division—Stormwater Program, shaping the future of our region’s water management
Organizing, planning, and managing complex stormwater management programs that make a real difference in our environment
Taking the lead in planning, designing, and acquiring stormwater management facilities that help protect our community
Overseeing Public Works projects that contribute to the county's growth and infrastructure
Supporting the development of professional services and construction contract scopes of work, managing consultants, contracts, and grants to ensure projects stay on track
Managing construction and post-construction activities for stormwater and public works projects, ensuring all work is completed as planned and to the highest standards
Leading various programs that ensure the County’s compliance with the MS4 permit, safeguarding the environment for future generations
Providing excellent customer service, collaborating with residents, businesses, and other government agencies
Representing the county at public meetings, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring every project reflects the needs and goals of our community
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, or related field
Three (3) years of related professional engineering and/or environmental science experience with direct design as well as administrative experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Preferred
Experience working within a local government public works or stormwater organization
Experience administering Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements
Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license
