Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support and assist the development team with construction requests and Permit renewals
Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances
Preparation of financial statements and internal reports
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes as needed
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company procedures
Assist with audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
Perform other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
2+ years on an Accounting team in a corporate environment with multiple subsidiaries
Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems (Great Plains & NetSuite)
Month End Close experience
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs with high degree of proficiency in Excel
Internal customer service minded attitude
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple mediums
Ability to remain in a stationary seated or standing position for various increments of time
Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment
Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device
Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, lift over head, twist and turn body when appropriate
Must be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written form
