Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain WES modules using Java EE, Spring Boot, and micro services architecture
Implement real-time task orchestration, routing logic, and system interfaces for automated material handling systems
Collaborate with solution architects, controls engineers, and customer teams to deliver tailored automation solutions
Conduct testing, deployment, and post-implementation support for WES applications in live warehouse environments
Ensure software scalability, reliability, and compliance with Swisslogs development standards and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in enterprise Java development ideally in warehouse automation, logistics, or industrial systems
Strong grasp of warehouse operations, real-time systems, and integration protocols (REST, MQTT, OPC-UA)
Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server), UI frameworks (Angular), and message brokers (Kafka)
Agile mindset, solid troubleshooting ability, and excellent communication skills
Preferred
Hands-on experience with Swisslog WES or other automation/WCS platforms is a strong plus
