Responsibilities
Partner with product managers and clinical experts to lead projects shaping how we define and measure provider cost and quality
Drive the evolution and construction of tools we use to write, assess, and combine rules measuring provider behaviors
Build and maintain data-driven algorithms, including AI and machine learning models, to improve our provider recommendations estimates
Serve as a subject matter expert for statistical modeling, improving methods for evaluating current models and future changes
Partner with data engineers to design scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and enrich healthcare provider data
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and operations teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
Define data science standards and best practices, and mentor team members to raise the technical capabilities of the data science team
Qualification
Required
8+ years professional experience in data science, product analytics, and/or healthcare
A demonstrated ability to independently solve difficult problems and deliver high quality results to senior stakeholders
Strong Python and SQL skills
Expertise in statistical modeling techniques and a track record of building impactful predictive models
A willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
