Law Practice
Responsibilities
Advising clients about their legal rights in criminal defense matters, legal options, and best strategies
Attending arraignments and pretrial hearings on behalf of clients
Managing court appearances, drafting motions, and performing legal research
Preparing clients for court appearances and depositions
Communicating with clients, witnesses, and prosecuting attorneys
Interviewing witnesses and gathering information from experts to support clients’ positions
Providing legal analysis for clients to determine possible case benefits
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated interest in family law from prior work experience, law school clinics, internships, or volunteer work
Willingness to assist with family law matters
A team player interested and able to work in the law firm environment
Ability to manage client expectations and assist clients in stressful criminal cases
Ability to manage a caseload and case-related time management
