Principal HR Business Partner

Healthcare Outcomes Performance Co. (HOPCo) is seeking a Principal HR Business Partner to align business objectives with employees and management across designated business units. The role involves providing HR guidance, managing employee relations issues, and developing HR solutions that reflect the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities

Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units
Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Provides basic benefits, recruitment and compensation guidance to business units and works with HR Centers of Excellence in providing plans and solutions
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
Works with Talent Acquisition on the posting of new positions, promotions, and transfers
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
Train other HRBP’s to meet company standards
Serve as a Senior member of the HRBP team to assist with answering complex questions from the customer base
Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to establish the work instructions for the various duties and functions of the HRBP team
Tracks and maintains HRBP KPI’s and performance metrics for assigned customer groups

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or commensurate experience with PRH/SHRM Certification
Minimum of 7 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
Experience in general HR operations and procedures, formulating policy, and assisting in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures in partnership with senior leadership, business partners, and clients
Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employee communications, and organizational development initiatives such as succession planning, leadership development, and training
Basic knowledge of state and federal Human Resources laws and regulations, EEO requirements
Basic knowledge of HRIS, preferably Ultipro, compensation, and benefits programs and training
Basic knowledge of compensation, benefits, disability, recruiting, reward & recognition
Skill in process improvement methodologies
Skill in coaching and personal development, mentoring change management, and cross-cultural collaboration
Skill in effectively communicating with employees and management both in oral and written form
Skill in building credibility with business units
Skill in decision making, problem-solving, analytical, conflict management, organizational, and presentation skills
Skill in handling interpersonal, sensitive, and confidential situations and documentation
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team, in a high-paced dynamic organization
Ability to work with clients and HR team members to set strategic direction and deliver practical business solutions
Ability to work in a larger, complex, matrix-oriented, and fast-paced environment
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors

Ability to be business focused with a strong analytical orientation

Preferred

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
