DIRECT PATIENT CARE CLINICAL ADMINISTRATIVE LEAD-MEDICAL ASSISTANT-PRN

Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility to ensure access to care is met within the Cooper Integrated Specialist Network
Acts as the liaison for the DPC clinicians and works directly with patients to schedule appointments and address all incoming emails to the DPC practice
Provides MA support to include EKG, vital screening, hearing, and additional requests when needed
Orders bloodwork script for physicians
Maintains EHR database, confirms appointments, registers patients, prints documents for visits, and ensures patients complete them
Ensures scanning and uploading of documents into the EHR program after visits
Handles and triages all DPC phone calls
Checks voicemail system throughout the day to ensure all calls are returned quickly
Provides both check-in/out and MA services in the DPC model
Handles all patient matters including walk-ins, phone calls, and scheduling of patients in Epic
Completes all recertifications, referrals, and prior authorizations in the office
Oversees all scanning of documents, CDL physicals, and management of medication samples
Processes record requests through MRO processing all new patient contracts and questions
Provides patient care to include rooming, vitals, injections of flu vaccine, PPD and B12
Performs testing to include EKG, hearing and vision
Processes and/or prints incoming faxes through OnBase/fax and routes to provider for signatures or information
Ensures proper uploading into chart and category in a timely and efficient manner
Orders supplies and stocks the office
Qualification
Required
3-5 years' direct experience in customer service and direct patient care model
Ability to exercise sound administrative judgement when needed
Forward thinker and embrace innovation to creatively problem solve
Serves as the subject matter expert for high quality concierge customer service
Assumes responsibility to ensure access to care is met within the Cooper Integrated Specialist Network
