Project Engineer

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas, involved in significant civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

Be responsible for assisting on the Change Management procedures, documenting, and justifying changes and estimating the costs, effects, advantages and risks
Assist to update the budget forecasts
Risk Management collaboration
Assist with monthly certifications and preparation of draw requests
Collaborate with schedulers to provide monthly submittals to Developer/DOT
Regular reporting of monitored activities
Assist with planning and monitoring of all aspects of project control and execution
Understand fully all project related contract documents
Monitor subcontractor claims
Collaborate on the preparation of claims and change proposals to DOT
Monitor claims and change proposals submitted to DOT
Develop cost and time impacts assessments related to potential changes
Monitor change orders
Negotiate change orders with DOT

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or construction management
Three (3) or more years of experience working in large civil infrastructure Design build or Design-bid-build projects valued at $400 million or more
Specific experience in the transportation sector: Managing engineering activities related to a highway, bridge, road or runway construction project
Experience with Procore, Aconex, and Project to perform 2- and 3-dimensional design and drafting
Using Excel to track payments, manage a construction budget and control construction costs
Conducting daily field inspections to monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed
Coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams which include design and construction engineers, superintendents, and inspectors
