Responsibilities

Lead the overall data strategy for the company, aligning data initiatives with business goals and product priorities

Manage a small team of data engineers, analysts, and data scientists, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

Define and implement a data governance framework, including policies for data ownership, stewardship, lineage, and quality

Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to translate analytical needs into data models, infrastructure, and workflows

Serve as the data domain expert, advising executives on emerging trends in data science, AI, and analytics

Design and oversee enterprise-wide data models and schemas that ensure consistency and reusability across systems

Collaborate with the Data Engineer to implement scalable pipelines, integrations, and APIs supporting analytical and operational use cases

Define standards for data cataloging, documentation, and lineage tracking, ensuring transparency and accessibility

Oversee data governance tooling (e.g., AWS Glue or equivalent) and enforce compliance with company policies

Partner with business teams to translate data into insights, empowering decision-making across functions

Establish best practices for analytics and model development, including experimentation frameworks and performance monitoring

Evaluate and recommend machine learning and AI opportunities that enhance business value

Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure data quality, usage, and organizational impact
