Sr. Regional Sales Manager

Responsibilities
Lead and direct overall sales efforts within the assigned region to achieve optimal sales volume and profitability
Develop and execute strategies to grow business in alignment with company and regional priorities
Manage strategic and platinum accounts across North America, Europe, and potentially Asia Pacific
Execute contracts, prepare forecasts, and oversee brand/account planning
Negotiate pricing, customer claims, and commercial terms to secure maximum profitability
Plan and coordinate sales territories and major account assignments
Drive planning and regional sales forecasting activities
Maintain strong communication with the VP of Global Sales and Customer Solutions and other internal stakeholders
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements
15+ years of sales or marketing experience, ideally within specialty materials, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
Minimum of 2 years successfully performing as a Special Accounts Manager or Senior Special Accounts Manager at Carpenter (internal requirement)
Strong experience managing complex accounts and achieving sales growth targets
Business/Management Expertise: Applies financial and operational acumen to achieve measurable results
Functional Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the full sales cycle and cross‑functional dependencies
Strategic Planning: Ability to create and execute regional strategies aligned with business objectives
Financial Management: Manages resources and forecasting to ensure targets are met
Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves complex operational and commercial challenges
Customer Focus: Builds strong customer relationships and anticipates evolving needs
Decision‑Making: Makes sound commercial decisions aligned with functional objectives
Talent Development: Coaches team members and supports development across the function
Strong communication skills—open, direct, and able to facilitate constructive debate
Ability to execute annual business plans, meet performance goals, and drive profitable growth
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels
Capability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
Ability to travel extensively across large geographies
