Responsibilities
Proactively contact customers with past-due accounts via phone, email, or mail in a respectful and professional manner
Provide excellent customer service while helping clients understand their account status and available payment options
Collaborate with internal departments (billing, sales, customer support) to resolve account discrepancies and ensure accurate information
Negotiate payment plans and follow up on commitments to ensure timely resolution
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and actions taken
Identify patterns or systemic issues and escalate as needed to improve processes
Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant debt collection regulations
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in collections, billing, customer service, or a related field
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Empathetic and patient approach to difficult conversations
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively and meet performance goals
A team player with a strong sense of integrity and accountability
All candidates must be at least 21 years of age
Can pass a criminal and credit background check
Can pass a pre-employment drug test
