Senior LevelGeneral Motors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Lane Map Fusion team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that power the autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize existing C-based Software for Lane Map Fusion, improving execution efficiency and memory footprint
Lead the potential rewrite of legacy modules to modern, modular architectures while maintaining strict real-time performance requirements on MCU or Embedded Linux targets
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented software code following best practices and architectural patterns
Perform comprehensive debugging and troubleshooting of software applications to identify and resolve issues promptly
Actively participate in and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
Collaborate effectively with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools within a SAFe environment
Design and execute thorough test plans to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of developed software
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to enhance our products and processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in related fields
Proven experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects
Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in debugging complex software systems and identifying root causes of issues
Solid understanding and practical experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
Exceptional skills in software coding, with proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages (e.g. C++, C)
Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles
Experience with various testing methodologies and tools to ensure software quality
