Responsibilities
Serve as principal security advisor, reviewing and influencing solution designs and implementation plans to meet enterprise policies, compliance, and risk tolerance
Design, maintain, and evolve reusable security architectural patterns that enable secure-by-design practices across cloud and on-prem environments
Collaborate with internal teams to define, refine, and standardize cybersecurity technologies, policies, standards, and control frameworks, ensuring alignment to NIST CSF and ISO 27001
Act as a key contributor between cybersecurity teams, IT, and business stakeholders, translating strategic security principles into actionable architectural guidance
Develop, maintain, and validate secure implementation of identity, access, monitoring, detection, and response systems, software, and capabilities
Support planning and strategy for system hardening, service and api security, devops/CI/CD/code security, and secure configuration of cloud resources and architectures
Participate in architecture and design reviews of critical projects to ensure early and continuous integration of security requirements
Lead assessments of enterprise-wide architecture in partnership with Risk Management, identifying opportunities for improving resilience, reducing attack surface, and strengthening the overall security posture
Monitor and review emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and regulatory developments to continuously improve policies, patterns, and architectural standards
Guide and mentor others, fostering technical growth and reinforcing architectural consistency across the enterprise security domain
Ensuring security architectural designs align with global data protection regulations and compliance requirements
Provide senior level thought leadership and mentoring of less experienced team members in engineering, architecture, and threat detection functions
Qualification
Required
College degree or equivalent exp
Cybersecurity certifications i.e.: CISSP, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco, etc
10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years full-time dedicated to security architecture and design in enterprise environments
Proven experience providing cybersecurity policy consulting, leading security architecture reviews, and developing reusable security pattern libraries to guide secure system design
Aligning security programs and architectures with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001) and meeting compliance requirements (e.g., Payment Card Industry)
Experience working with enterprise technology deployments and production operations
Demonstrated success designing and securing hybrid IT environments (combining on-premises infrastructure and cloud services) to ensure a consistent, robust security posture across multi-cloud (Azure/AWS) and on-prem systems
