Responsibilities
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare timely and accurate account reconciliations for selected accounts
Research inventory transactions, determine the proper accounting treatment, and recommend corrections to the transaction originator
Develop, document, implement, and manage inventory accounting process, controls, and systems
Assist with interim and annual audits, preparation of supporting schedules, analyses and audited financial statement documentation
Ensure controls and procedural compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley
Research accounting issues as needed
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and optimize accounting processes, systems, and reporting
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability as the company grows
Assist other co-workers with related tasks as necessary
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data
Provide analysis and reporting for selected balance sheet accounts, as well as assistance with project work and ad-hoc reporting as necessary
Develop, document, implement, and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure proper internal control and compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including periodic controls documentation updates and testing
Qualification
Required
BS in Accounting or comparable business degree is required
Minimum 4+ years of experience in an accounting role; public accounting experience is a plus
Minimum 2+ years in an accounting close
Preferred
CPA or CPA track is preferred
Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O or similar scale ERP platforms
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is preferred
