Responsibilities
Analyzes and researches legal issues in manuscripts to ensure accuracy
Independently writes comprehensive supplementation to update existing publications
Works with volunteer authors to develop books, practice manuals, and forms in various legal subject areas
Responds by telephone and e-mail to requests for information about content and use of publications
Performs other responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
J.D. or L.L.B. and license to practice law, preferably in Texas, required
Related work experience helpful
Must be able to write clearly and perform legal research effectively
Requires excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and discretion
Must be able to work under deadline pressure and prioritize multiple work assignments and long-term projects
Must be able to use basic word processing software
Occasional travel required
Writing sample required with application: 500-1000 words in plain language
