Assistant Branch Manager
First U.S. Community Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations. The role involves planning, scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional member service while achieving sales goals.

Sets goals for performance and deadlines in alignment with organizational goals and vision. Organizes and monitors workflow, ensuring that team members understand their duties and delegated tasks. Monitors team member productivity and provides constructive, consistent feedback, coaching and counseling. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations
Support the Branch Manager in setting performance goals and deadlines aligned with the Credit Union’s strategic goals and vision
Assist with organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing workflow to ensure team members understand assigned duties and responsibilities
Monitor team member productivity and provide regular coaching, feedback, and guidance to support performance and professional development
Help maintain a safe, compliant, and positive work environment by enforcing organizational standards and adhering to applicable laws and regulations
Supervise and support branch team members by observing member interactions, assisting with cross-selling conversations, problem resolution, and addressing questions or concerns
Foster and maintain a strong sales and service culture, supporting branch efforts to meet or exceed established goals
Ensure team members are trained and knowledgeable on all Credit Union products, services, and delivery channels
Assist with scheduling and ensuring branch appointments are handled effectively and timely
Research and resolve member inquiries or complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up and member satisfaction
Open new accounts; conduct loan interviews; take loan applications; and fund approved loans
Review and approve designated loan products, including Quick Cash Loans, Instant Credit Loans, Share Secured Loans, and Platinum Secured Visa accounts, in accordance with authority levels
Approve and process wire transactions over the phone in accordance with policy and procedures
Assist in maintaining efficient branch operations, including monitoring cash and coin inventory and coordinating cash orders
Monitor team member conversations for professionalism, accuracy, and content to ensure quality member experiences
Research and resolve complex member questions or issues related to accounts, transactions, or verifications
Provide ongoing coaching and support to reinforce service standards and performance expectations
Maintain strict confidentiality of all member and team member information
Treat all members and team members with professionalism, respect, and a positive, cooperative attitude
Support compliance with the Credit Union’s BSA/AML program, including: Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), OFAC screening in accordance with established procedures
Reinforce BSA/AML compliance expectations through daily practices and team member support
Assist with operational reporting, New Account audits, and Loan Funding Packet audits
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a financial institution
Strong member service and sales skills with a demonstrated sales-oriented mindset
Ability to operate a computer terminal and standard office equipment
Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute
Strong interpersonal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated accuracy in balancing and transactional work
Dependable and responsible, with the ability to support and guide team members
Goal-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively with leadership and peers
Preferred
Public Notary designation preferred or required, as applicable
