Senior Economist: Culture, Creative Economy
Sound Diplomacy is a global music, culture and creative economy consultancy. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Economist to join their projects team, focusing on economic analysis for cultural projects and creative ecosystems.

Responsibilities
Design and deliver economic impact assessments for cultural projects, events, and creative ecosystems, including economic modelling, data collection, and quantitative analysis to estimate contributions to GDP, employment, and local economic activity
Design, implement, and analyse surveys developed by Sound Diplomacy and third parties, ensuring methodological consistency and data quality
Prepare analytical reports, including data visualisation, interpretation of results, and the formulation of evidence-based recommendations
Develop and deliver presentations for non-economist audiences and, where required, act as a client-facing point of contact on projects reporting to the Global Head of Projects
Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing methodologies and workflows, and support the development of new analytical products and frameworks
Support qualitative research tasks, including literature reviews, policy analysis, and contextual research relevant to project delivery
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a relevant field
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Economics, Social Studies or other relevant quantitative fields, ideally with a background in econometrics
Experience with Econometric Modeling
Experience with statistical software e.g.STATA, R or Python
Interest in cultural economics
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience with Excel & Google Sheets and other data analysis software
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
Professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Spanish is an asset
