Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of professional County-wide audit and attest duties such as reviewing account records and documents for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
Preparing analytical, accounting and narrative reports
Fiscal monitoring for County departments, special districts, vendors, contractors and other parties that do business with the County of Sacramento
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy
Possession of a current valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license from the State of California Board of Accountancy may substitute for the required bachelor's degree
Criminal History and Background Checks: The County may access criminal history information on candidates who have accepted a conditional offer of appointment for this class consistent with the provisions of Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 82-602, Personnel Policies and Procedures and applicable federal and state laws
A valid California Driver License, Class C or higher, shall be required at the time of appointment
Travel to vendor sites and corporate offices in or out of the County to conduct audit activities
