Responsibilities

Using Okta Workflows and automation capabilities to streamline identity lifecycle management
Building and supporting APIs to connect systems and applications with Okta
Designing and implementing identity federation and single sign-on (SSO) solutions
Implementing OIDC integrations with Okta and supporting related identity protocols (SAML, OAuth)
Supporting application onboarding for authentication and authorization
Collaborating with the IAM Team Lead and Enterprise Security teams to continuously enhance the security posture
Creating and maintaining documentation and diagrams for ICAM processes and integrations
Mentoring junior engineers on best practices in IAM and secure system integration

Qualification

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Minimum 10 years of experience in an IT position, such as systems administration, systems engineering, development, or identity management
Strong hands-on experience with OIDC, the modern SSO standard
Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML and OAuth
Hands-on experience with Okta Workflows
Experience working with and developing APIs; some development experience preferred
Proven experience integrating and optimizing Okta solutions
Experience working in Agile environments and supporting CI/CD workflows
5+ years of relevant experience with Okta
10+ years of relevant experience with systems engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR no degree with 13+ years of directly relevant systems and development experience

Preferred

Familiarity with integration of IAM into AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and DevOps practices
Prior experience in federal or regulated environments is a plus
Experience implementing and maintaining advanced Okta Inline Hooks (Token, SAML Assertion, Registration, Event), including serverless hook infrastructure using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
Advanced expertise designing and implementing complex Okta Workflows, including multi-branch logic, error handling, reusable subflows, API connector development, and end-to-end lifecycle automation for high-volume identity environments
Expertise integrating Okta with enterprise logging and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk), including building identity-related detection rules, dashboards, and automated remediation workflows
