Travel Lane County promotes the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region to support a resilient economy. They are seeking a Visitor Services Specialist who will connect with visitors, providing trip planning support and destination guidance to enhance their experiences in the region.

Responsibilities

Meeting visitors at the right moment with the right information to shape meaningful, memorable experiences
Working directly with visitors and residents through the Visitor Center, outreach events, and phone/email inquiries to provide trip planning support, destination guidance, and access to recreation and experiences
Helping support local businesses and communities throughout the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region
Assisting visitors and completing other tasks, while working independently during solo shifts
Learning about local communities, recreation opportunities, events, and seasonal experiences to share that knowledge with visitors
Offering information that turns a good visit into a great one and encourages visitors to stay longer or explore more of the region
Balancing multiple priorities throughout a shift while working in a public-facing Visitor Center and supporting outreach events
Tracking visitor interactions, maintaining brochures and materials, processing transactions, and supporting basic data and content updates
Approaching work with care and professionalism, always prioritizing the visitor experience, and using lighter visitor traffic times to complete administrative work

You manage tasks like tracking visitor interactions, maintaining brochures and materials, processing transactions and supporting basic data and content updates
You stay focused and self-directed during both high-traffic times and quieter moments, including during solo shifts
You're service-minded and community-oriented
You approach your work with care and professionalism, always prioritizing the visitor experience
When visitor traffic is lighter, you use that time thoughtfully to complete administrative work
