Systems Integration and Test Engineer
Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to join their team on the Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) program, which aims to improve aircraft runway and terminal congestion. The role involves performing testing in physical and virtual labs, coordinating with FAA and Leidos personnel, and debugging system-level issues to ensure efficient air traffic operations.

Responsibilities
Perform testing in Physical and Virtual test labs to ensure the system, test procedure, and test inputs are prepared to execute with the customer present
Execute procedures that verify the system is properly configured and operating in the NAS
Coordinate activities, communication, and planning efforts with FAA and Leidos personnel
Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues
Able to understand System Level Requirements and perform system interface checkouts
Work with team lead to provide guidance to fellow test team members and ensure team goals are appropriately set to meet all program milestones
Execute commands for remote support staff (ILE/Networking) and provide feedback to solve problems remotely
Analyze identified issues in conjunction with System Engineering and Software in regard to developing solutions
Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements
Collaborate with the TFDM system engineering team to develop test approaches for new and modified requirements
Execute commands for remote support staff (ILE/Networking) and provide feedback to solve problems remotely
Ability to conduct Testing at Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT) in operational site conditions with the FAA customer when required
Perform formal test execution with the customer and quality assurance organizations
Coordinate activities, communication, and planning efforts with FAA and Leidos personnel
Able to understand XML data and ability to troubleshoot connection issues with network configurations, IP addresses, JMS queue configurations, etc
Demonstrate test execution to the FAA on a run for record to achieve customer acceptance of the content per release
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Be able to support travel (20% of time)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8+ years of professional experience; or 6+ years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
Candidate must be able to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer
Experience with UNIX/Linux operating, troubleshoot connection /network configurations skills
Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with internal and external customers
Willing to collaborate with FAA customer on sites to build system knowledge
