Technical Account Manager, Central
ASTERRA is the world leader in satellite-based infrastructure intelligence, and they are seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their Central US Field Team. This role involves serving as the proactive technical leader, managing customer engagements, and ensuring successful delivery and adoption of their technology.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert across the entire pre- and post-sales lifecycle for direct customers and local partners
Lead high-quality product demonstrations, detailed technical scoping, and Proof of Concept (POC) design aligned with customer needs
Provide deep technical expertise and structured enablement to partners, including joint architectural reviews and technical deep dives with high-potential local partners
Own the technical onboarding process end-to-end, ensuring correct implementation and rapid delivery of the 'First Insight'
Manage the technical delivery timeline, proactively resolving time-critical issues and supporting 'Boots On The Ground' field efforts
Drive customer and partner adoption of key features, best practices, and high-value use cases
Design and lead post-sales technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate ROI, ensure long-term value realization, and support renewal and expansion goals
Act as the Voice of the Customer, providing structured feedback and field insights to Product and Engineering teams
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years in Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success Engineering roles
Experience with water utilities, the water market, and/or infrastructure asset management
Ability to translate complex satellite, radar, and analytics technologies into clear business outcomes for non-technical audiences
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho) and Customer Success platforms (e.g., ChurnZero)
Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and field technicians
Willingness to travel across the Central US territory (up to 50-60%)
Preferred
Background in water utilities or infrastructure monitoring environments
Experience working with partners or reseller ecosystems
Familiarity with geospatial analytics, SAR, or Earth Observation technologies
