Responsibilities
Conducting individual tree evaluations and tree risk assessments
Evaluating project data, development site plans, and other project-related technical reports.ECollecting field data utilizing field computers, tablets, and global positioning system (GPS) units
Processing and analyzing field-collected data
Analyzing data and conducting project-related research
Preparing arborist reports and other technical reports related to tree and urban forest management
Developing written tree management recommendations
Presenting findings to decision-making bodies, project teams, and industry groups
Preparing proposals, project scopes, and budgets
Working collaboratively with project planners, engineers, biologists, GIS staff, and other resource specialists
Qualification
Required
Certification as an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Master Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) required
Bachelors degree in forestry, natural resources, environmental science, or another related field
A proven track record of business development success
Preferred
Excellent writing skills
Project management and client development experience
Experience with GIS, GPS, plant/tree identification, and arboricultural and vegetation management practices
Associate degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
